About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join the Rio Tinto Team at their Gove site. This role will work a 4 week on, 6 week off roster FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.
Key Responsibilities
Read & gain understanding of tasks to be executed
Work with other site departments
Print & create work packs to hand to contracting work force
Liaise with contracting supervisors to go through works allocated to their teams
Attend contractor pre starts & provide key messages from supervisor pre-start meeting
Supervise all works in allocated area onsite
Manage interactions within area & escalate any issues to Shutdown supervisor
Conduct in field safety verifications & complete safety audits of work fronts
Manage the safety & compliance of work groups within area
Skills & Experience Required
Supervisor experience, preferably mechanical and electrical fields but not compulsory.
Project management experience
Shutdown Coordinator/Supervisor experience
Construction/ maintenance lead experience
Mechanical/ electrical trade with leadership experience
SAP Knowledge
Project co-ordination
Working on/ around conveyor belts, bauxite reclaimers, crushers, export wharf/ ship loader
Current C Class Australian Licence
Full Working Rights in Australia
