About Our Client
A leading Australian mining company is seeking a Mechanical Fitter and a Boilermaker to assist on a short term assignment(dates below)at their Bauxite Hills Mine located near Cape York Peninsula. Bauxite Hills Mine offers a unique working environment in a stunning location.
Fitter - 2nd October to 16th October & 30th October to 13th November.
Boilermaker - 4th September to 18th September.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be assisting with the maintenance of both fixed and mobile plant machinery through inspection, servicing and general repair to scheduled deadlines. This includes B Double Side Tippers, Excavators, Graders and Crushers. Ensure safe operating procedures are in place and adhered to and be flexible in taking on ad hoc duties.
What You Will Need
Trade Qualification - Mechanical Fitting or Boilermaking
Demonstrated experience performing maintenance and repairs on fixed and mobile plant machinery in a mining setting
Working at Heights ticket
Confined Space Entry ticket
High Risk Elevated Work Platform Licence
First Aid Certificate
Heavy Rigid Driver's Licence
Ability to work in a fast paced workshop
Excellent trouble shooting, breakdown and diagnostic skills
Ability to read, interpret and understand plans, diagrams, drawings and specifications
Strong reporting skills
Microsoft Office skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Organised and able to meet deadlines
