About our client:

Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety and environmental performance.
About the Position:
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Geoscientist to join Rio Tintos Resource Development department. This role is based on site in West Angelas on 8 days on, 6 days off roster, for an initial 4 month duration.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Geological data collection from drilling programs
Interpretation of downhole geophysical data
Sampling and QAQC of geological data
Data input for geological modelling
Designing drill programs for grade purposes
Delivering reporting obligations and ensuring tenure maintenance
Adherence to standards and procedures
Skills & Experience Required:
2+ years of experience in a mine geology position
Bachelor of Science in Geological Science, Earth Science, or equivalent
Experience in geological data collection, processing, validation, interpretation, and QA/QC
Exposure to health and safety management and implementation systems (e.g., T5s, JHAs, Pre-starts)
Proficiency in Vulcan and Excel software
C Class Driver's Licence
