About Our Client

A leading Australian mining company is seeking a Multiskilled Operator / Maintenance All-Rounder to assist on a 2 week assignment at their Bauxite Hills Mine located near Cape York Peninsula. Bauxite Hills Mine offers a unique working environment in a stunning location.

What You Will Be Doing

You will play a critical role in supporting the site's daily operations. This versatile position requires a hands-on approach to a variety of tasks, ensuring the smooth functioning of the camp and port facilities. This can range from rubbish bin transfers to specialised tasks such as in-field machine support, conducting inspections, and refuelling operations.

You will be expected to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, stepping in to support various teams. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with all safety and operations procedures, maintaining equipment to high standard and actively participating in safety meetings.

What You Will Need

• Current Multicombination Driver's Licence

• RII Backhoe, Loader, Dozer, Excavator, Grader, Moxy tickets

• High Risk Forklift, EWP and Crane Licences

• Standard 11

• First Aid Certificate

• Cert. in Surface Operations

• Demonstrated experience within a mining environment

• Experience supporting a maintenance team

• Strong focus on safety

• Cultural awareness and sensitivity towards equity and diversity

• Basic vehicle maintenance skills

• Ability to conduct job safety analysis

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Organised and able to meet deadlines
