About The Client
Our leading global mining and resource client is Australia's largest producer and supplier of seaborne metallurgical coal. With over 100 years of operation within Australia, they mine metallurgical coal across seven sites within their Queensland Operations in the Bowen Basin with local, DIDO and FIFO opportunities available.
What You Will Be Doing
Working as the Shotfirer you will be handling:
Preparing, position, and detonation of explosives
Transporting and storage of explosives
Post blast inspections
Boring holes and checking depths
Assessing quantity of explosives needed for blast
General bench and blast crew duties
Accurate record keeping
What You Need
Previous experience as a Shot Firer (Minimum 2 Years experience) within a production coal mining setting
You will need to hold a current or be willing to obtain a Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical within last 2 years or be willing to attain this.
You will need a SSAN ticket, SSE signed skills list, Current Drivers Licence, right to work in Australia, Police Check? and QLD Security Clearance for handling explosives?
