Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety and environmental performance.

About the Position:
Workpac are currently seeking an experienced customer service officer, supporting the safe and efficient movement of Rio Tinto personnel across the Pilbara region. Our ideal candidate is motivated by a fast-paced and dynamic work environment & is committed to delivering a high level of customer service. The role is located at Rio Tinto, Central Park Perth on a 5:2 roster Mon/Fri, 8hr days. This is a 12-Month casual contract, with the possibility of extension & conversion to Workpac FTE after 12-Month with the team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinating travel bookings for flights, accommodation, and vehicles, using In Flight, Concur, RTTMS

  • Providing support to RTIO personnel with travel-related queries or feedback via phone or email

  • Providing reliable and service-focused communication and engagement with internal and external stakeholders

  • Auditing/Reporting to troubleshoot processing errors, identify training opportunities and process improvements

  • Supporting the Offshore Travel Team with queries, queue-management, & processing requests via Rio Tinto Ticketing Management System (RTTMS)

  • Managing accommodation discrepancies and resolving errors

  • Cross-team training and support across the RTIO Travel Team

  • Inbox management

  • Rotational emergency after-hours support

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines & excel in a high performing team

  • Good problem-solving skills & attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task & strong time-management

  • Ability to work collaboratively with all team members or work autonomously, as required

  • Strong written & verbal communication

  • Experience with Rio Tinto systems - Inflight, RTTMS, SAP, Concur (preferable)

  • Microsoft office skills - MS Word, Excel, Outlook
